New Classical Tracks: Interview & Giveaway
“The grief is very real when you lose a pet who’s been a member of your family – and you form this incredibly strong, unconditional bond that is very innocent and very pure”
Honoured to be featured on New Classical Tracks this week.
Interviewed by the wonderful Julie Amacher, we’re having a chat about past and future works and collaborations, growing up with music, the Quadrophenia album, “Blackbird”, the life-long love for animals and how we ended up with a big family of beautiful dogs. We’re also having a discussion about the life events that inspired Animal Requiem – from playing music at a crematorium to rescuing and feeling the loss of animals – and the hope of the piece for the future.
You can read some of the interview by clicking the link below, and you can also listen to the 27-minute interview included in the article. Give it a listen – it includes some details never shared before and some snippets of the music too, which is extra lovely.
Do also check the end of the article for a chance to win a copy of Animal Requiem!
